HomeMy WebLinkAbout00-047`-r i+` C' ~ t~. s -, RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE CONFIRMING THE DISSOLUTION OF THE LIME SADDLE COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT WHEREAS, on September 28, 1999 the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte enacted Resolution No. 99-141 ordering the dissolution of the Lime Saddle Community Services District subject to confirmation of the voters within the District; and WHEREAS, at an election conducted in accordance with Government Code Sections 57125 et sc~y., on March 7, 2000, within the Lime Saddle Community Service District, an the question of whether the district should be dissolved, the majority of votes cast were for the dissolution of the Lime Saddle Community Service District. NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER, as follo~~s: Section 1. This resolution is adopted pursuant to the CortcselKnox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, commencing with section 56000 of the Government Code, and specifically sections 157175 and 57176. Section 2. "f he official results of the above referenced election are shown in the canvass of the returns of the election on file in the Butte County Elections Department, 25 County Center Drive, Oroville, California. 'The number of votes cast in the election was 426. The mzmber of votes cast for dissolution of`the District was 241. The number of votes cast against dissolution of the District was 156. Section 3. Since a majority of the votes cast were affirmative. the dissolution of the Lime Saddle Community Services District is hereby confirmed. Section 4. The dissolution is subject to the terms and conditiotls set forth in Board of Supervisors Resolution No. 99-141 and Butte Local t~.gency Formation Commission Resolution No. 29 199$199. Section 5. The Clerk of the Board is hereby directed to transmit a certified copy of this Resolution to the Executive Officer of the Butte Local Agency Formation Commission with a remittance to cover any tees required by Government Code Section 54902.5.
