PAYMENT PROCEDURE FOR PROJECT"'ROADWAY REHAE~ILITATION ON
SKYWAY F'R01~1 PONDEROSA WAY TO N111ISIIEW ROAD"
WHEREAS, the County of Butte 11as progranu»ed Slate Transportation [mprovcancnt
Program funds for the project titled "iZoadway Rehabilitation on Skyway li~om Ponderosa Way
to Nimshew Road." It is realised that this funding is a i-eimburse~~~ent type program.
~~'HEREAS, the County of Butte has requested allocation for the construction portion oI~
said funds and intends to construct said project in the summer of 20U{). This project is one of
three STIP roadway projects, one HBRR/STIP bridge project and one E IBRR bridge project in
addition to eight projects funded by other programs for t11is construction period.
WHEREAS, due to large project expenditures anticipated in the first and second quarters
of fiscal year 2000/2001, the County of Butte realties that there will be a lack of cash to deliver
projects in a timely manner utilising standard rcimburscmcnt procedures.
WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation allows advance f~uuling of
reimbursement requests by advancing construction luncls estimated by the County of Butte to be
paid on said project 30 days in the f~~ture through the /Alternative Construction Yri~~~ress I'ati~ment
Procedure.
W1-IEREAS, the County of E3utte has dctcnni~lcd that a request to advance Iundin~~ 4vill
allow said project to be de]ivered in a timely il~anner and all other options have been e~hausled.
BE I"h RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, that Alternative Construction Progress Payment Procedure is requested for
"Roadway Rehabilitation on Skyway from Ponderosa WVay to Nimshcw Road."
