RESOLUTION DECREASING THE NUMBER OF TRUSTEES ON THF,
PILAF, CREEK CEMETERY DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES
WHEREAS, the Pine Creek Cemetery District was formed by the Board ofSupervisors on February
1, 193'7, in accordance with Health and Safety Code Section 8950 et. seq. in response to a petition for
formation being tiled with the Board of Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, the petition for formation specified that the district shall be governed and managed
by three trustees; and
WHEREAS, in 1987, the trustees of the Pine Creek Cemetery District requested the Board to
expand the number of trustees from three to five; and
WHEREAS, on November 24, 1987, by Resolution Number $7-280A. the Board of Supervisors
approved the increase in the number of trustees for the Pine Creek Cemetery District from three to five; and
WHEREAS, on August 18, 1996, the trustees of the Pine Creek Cemetery District unanimously
voted to decrease the number of trustees from tine to three; and
WHEREAS, Health and Safety Code Section 8950 specities that the number of trustees may be
decreased from five to three by the Board ofSupervisors upon a request by a majority of the trustees of the
district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board ofSupervisors approves the decrease
of the number of trustees of the Pine Creek Cemetery District from five trustees to three trustees.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 16th day of May, 2000.
