RESOLUTION APPROVING ADOPTION OF CANINE
TO BE UTILIZED AS A CANINE OFFICER
WHEREAS, Butte County adopts and recognizes a German Shepherd dog named
Lobo. Said dog shall be used by the Butte County Sheriff s Office as a member of the canine
unit; and
WHEREAS, Deputy Joel Malinowski will be Lobo's handler and partner. The
County will provide all food and medical care for Lobo; and
WHEREAS, Lobo shall reside with Deputy Malinowski. He shall be deputized upon
completion of his training.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors, on its own
behalf, and on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte, that said Board will adopt Lobo
as a canine officer for the Butte County Sheriff s Office.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors on this 16`"
day of May 2000 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Houx, Jasassen, Davis and Chair Dolan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
