HomeMy WebLinkAbout00-097Y r {- '~~ ~ 4~ ~lc'S01111'lOT1 CU O. 00-97 RESOLUTION REGARDING THE SOUTHSIDE OROVILLE COMMUNITY CENTER ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, on December 15, 1998, the County of Butte and the City of Oroville entered into a Memorandum of Understanding for the design, construction and administration of the Southside Oroville Community Center; and WHEREAS, on July 25, 2000, and June 20, 2000, the County of Butte and the City of Oroville respectively adopted an Amended Memorandum of Understanding for the design, construction and administration of the Southside Oroville Community Center; and WHEREAS, the amended Memorandum of Understanding deletes the requirement of a Management Committee and replaces it with a nine member Community Center Advisory Committee the members of which are as follows: • The County Chief Administrative Officer or his or her designee; • The City Manager of the City of Oroville or his or her designee; • The Butte County General Services Director or his or her designee; • One member of the private sector appointed by the Board of Supervisors; • One member of the private sector appointed by the Oroville City Council; • One member of the Southside Oroville Community appointed by the Board of Supervisors; • One member of the Southside Oroville Community appointed by the Oroville City Council; • A representative from a community based organization or district appointed by the Board of Supervisors; • A representative from a community based organization or district appointed by the Oroviile City Council; and WHEREAS, it is the duty of said Community Center Advisory Committee to review and make recommendations to the Facility Manager on issues relative to the uses and services offered at the center as well as processes for obtaining community input regarding the types of services that should be provided at the Southside Oroville Community Center. NOW, THEREFORE QE IT RESOLVED that this Board will appoint the County's three members to the Community Center Advisory Committee as required by the Amended Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Oroville at a regular scheduled meeting of the Board; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the term of such appointments will coincide with the term of office of the Board of Supervisor member in which the Center resides.
