voters as Proposition 1 ~ at the June 6, 1978 primary election, provides that property taxes
levied on ci~unty assessed real property shall not exceed one percent (1.0°%0) of~ ii5 Dull
taxable value except loe amounts required to meet payments on voter approved debt and
assessments lcvicd on other than an ad valorem base; and
1~'IIF~REAS, the State Legislature has enacted statutes to implement the
provisions of said Article X1I1-A; and

indebtedness approved by the voters prior to July 1, 1978; and
W[ 11;RIAS, Section 135 and 9 ~ of the Revenue and "Taxation Code
provide that the County shall levy an ad valorem properly tax on all taxable value at a race
equal to one dollar (~1.OU) per one hundred dollars ($100.00) of 1~u11 taxable value. and
That the revenue from Belch tas levy shall he distributed to all of the taxing entities within
the County in accordance with prevailing statutes: and

and the respective tax rates required to raise such amounts, have been determined by the

WE IT;RT~AS, it is incumbent on the Board oT Supervisors to iix the tax
rates for certain entities within the County, pursuant to Article: >, Division 3, "I~itle 3
(Section 29100 et seq) of the Government Code, for the 2000-2001 fiscal yeas;

1. That said Board does hereby fix a rate of one dollar 01.00) per

2. 1-hat the revenues derived f i•om said tax rate and levy shall be
distributed to the various taxing entities in the County, as
prescribed by statute, by the County Auditor; and
~. ']'hat said Board does hereby 11x various tax rates per one
hundred dollars ($100.00) of full taxable value, as hereinafter
set forth, to be applied to the taxable values within the
boundaries of the respective entities on the 2000-2001 Secured
Property "Tax Roll, as compiled by the County Assessor and the
State Board of Edualization, to raise revenues to meet annual
payments on voter approved bonds and other indebtedness.
Revenues derived from such tax rates and levies shall be
distributed to the various entities pursuant to prevailing law.
