RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR S'I'ATF,
OFF-HIGHWAY VEHICLE GRANT ENTI~['I_ED JONESVII,LE ENFORCF,MF_',N`I'
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the Off-Highway
Motor Vehicle Recreation Act of 1988, which provides funds to the State of California and
it political subdivisions for planning, acquiring, developing, operating, conserving and
maintaining oft=highway vehicle recreation; and
WHEREAS, the Off-Highway Motor Recreation Division, within the State of
California Department of Parks and Recreation, has been delegated the responsibility to
administer the program; and
WHEREAS, procedure's established by the California Department of Parks and
Recreation requires the applicant to certify, by Resolution, the approval of application before
submission to the State; and
WHEREAS, the project appears on, or is in conformance with the jurisdiction's
adopted general ar master plan and is compatible with the land use plans of those
jurisdictions immediately surrounding this project; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of
Supervisors hereby:
• Approve the filing of an application for an Off-Highway Vehicle Grant; and
• Certifies that this agency understands its legal obligatians to the State upon approval
of the grant; and
Certifies that this agency understands the California Public Resources Code
requirement that acquisition and development projects are maintained to specific
conservation standards; and
• Certifies that the project will be maintained during its useful life; and

• Certifies that this agency will implement the project will diligence once fiends are
available and a Pro_jeet Agreement has been consummated between the State and this
agency; and
• Certifies that this agency will provide the required matching funds; and
• Certifies that the public and adjacent property owners have been notified of the
project; and
• Appoints the Sheriff as agent of the County of Butte to conduct all negotiations,
execute and submit all required documents, including but not necessarily limited to
the application, agreements, amendments, payment requests, etc., which may he
necessary for the completion of the project.
Passed and adopted this 22"~ day of August 2000 by the following votes.
