Mentally Ill Offender Crime Reduction Grant
BE [T RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte hereby:
Appoints Sheriff Scott A. Mackenzie as the Chair of the Butte County MIOCRG Strategy
Committee; and
Authorizes said Sheriff to sign Butte County"s application for State funding, as well as related
contracts, amendments, or extensions with the State of California; and
Appoints representatives from the following categories as members of the Butte County
MIOCKG Strategy Committee:
Sheriff or Director, Department of Corrections
Chief Probation Officer
ocal Law Enforcement Agency
County Mental Health Director
Superior Court Judge
Client. Mental Health "Treatment Facility
Representative from an organization that can providelhas provided treatment or stability
including income, housing and caretaking for persons with mental illness
Assures that the County of Butte will adhere to the requirements of the Board of Corrections and
all conditions specified in the grant contract with the State of California in the expenditure of
State funds received pursuant to said application; and,
Certifies that all final planning products will be developed and provided to the Board of
Corrections no later than March 1, 2001; and
Certifies that the County of Butte will invoice the Board of Corrections for all costs approved in
the grant no later than June 30, 2001.
PASSEll AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 12`x' day of
September 2000 by the folfowing vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Houx, Josiassen, Davis and Chair Dolan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
