f RUCI_A~1~"I'[ON OF EXIS"PENCE OF A LUCAI. EMERGENCY
Wf IEREAS, Section S-5 of the Butte County Code empowers the Director of Emergency
Services of the County of Butte to proclaim the existence or threatened existence of a local
cmer~~enc_y when said County is <<tfectcd or likely to be affected by a local e-~~ergency and the

WHEREAS, the Director oi~ Emergency Services ol~ the County of Butte clots hereby Find:
That conditions of extrett~e peril to the safely of persons and property have arisen within

Th~it the aforesaid conditions of extreme peril tivarrant and necessitate the proclamation of~
the existence of a local emergency;
Butte County is requesting the concurrence of the Director of the Governor's Office of
Erner~~encv Services.
NOW "I~HEREFORE, IT ES HEREBY 1 ROCLAIMED that a local emergency now exists
thr~7u~~hout said C'ouniv; and
I'f ES FURTHER PROCL~1[MED AND ORDERED that during the existence of said
local emer<~ency the powers, functions and duties of the emergency organization of this County
shall be those prescribed by state law, by charter, ordinances, and resolutions of this County, and
