PROCLAMATION REQUES"DING GOVERNOR

PROCLAIM A S'CA"hE UE~ EMI~,RGLNCY
VI~HEREAS, on the 26°i ol~September, ?000, the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte found that due to a wildfire in or near the communities of Concow and Town of Paradise a
condition of extreme peril to life and property does exist in Butte County; and
IA~HI~.RF~.AS, in accordance with the state law_ the Board of Supervisors proclaimed that
an emergency does exist in said county: and
NOW, ~I~l{E~.REF(.)R1~:, f"T I5 I l~~,RF:BY PROCI,AIMI~:D AND ORDI~:RED that a copy of
this proclamation be forwarded to the Governor of California with the request that Ile proclaim
the County oi~ Butte to he in a state of emergency; and
1'l~ IS FUR'[,1 {I:R ORDI~RED that a cop_V of this proclamation be forwarded to the State
Director of the Office of Emergency Services; and

hereby designated as the authorized representative of the County oI~ Butte for the purpose of
receipt. processing. and coordination of all in inquires and requircmenis necessary to obtain
available state and federal assistance.
