RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
TO ACCEPT ADDITIONAL FUNDS
FROM
STATE of CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
DIVISION OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS
FOR THE COLD WEATHER SHELTER PROGRAM (EHAP-2000}
WHEREAS, The State of California, Department of Housing and Community Development, Division of
Community Affairs, issued a Notice of Funding Availability letter (NOFA) for the second round of Special Cold Weather
Funding (Chapter 793, Statutes of 1999); and
WHEREAS, Butte County Department of Behavioral Health (BCDBH) applied for and wishes to receive
EHAP-2000 funding to help Butte County respond to the emergency housing needs of our homeless population during
the cold weather months; and
WHEREAS, Emergency housing resources will be made available to county-wide residents through contracts
with the Community Action Agency of Butte County, Inc., and Catholic Ladies Relief Society. Both agencies will
provide vouchers to eligible program participants as defined by program guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the term of the grant is October 15, 2000 through April 15, 2001 and the amount of funds
awarded for the grant period will be $10,607.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors have authorized the
application and the acceptance of the Special Cold Weather Funding Grant up to the maximum amount of $10,607.00,
permitted by the issuance of the (NOFA). The funds are to be used in the manner presented in the application in
accordance with Chapter 793, Statutes of 1999 (AB 612). Any changes to the agreement must be signed by all
signatories.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 14"' day of November 2000. by the
following vote:
