of Public Works, announced his retirement as of December 29, 2000; and
WHEREAS, Don Anderson began his career with the County of Butte in 1966, as a
Laborer, in the Department of Public Works, advancing within the Department, to become a
Supervising Road Maintenance Worker, his present position; and
WHEREAS, Don Anderson worked as a dump truck operator, a road maintenance
worker, lead road maintenance worker and supervising road maintenance worker in the Public
Works Department for many years; and
WHEREAS, Don Anderson has earned the respect of fellow employees, engineers,
surveyors, contractors, and others involved in Public Works activities in Butte County, and has
diligently served the residents of the County of Butte for approximately thirty-four (34) years
with extraordinary distinction and leadership.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf and on
behalf of the residents of the County of Butte, wish to express to Don Anderson sincere
appreciation for his many years of unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the
residents of the County of Butte, and further wish him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this l9`~ day of December 2000, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Houx, Josiassen, Davis anal Chair Dolan
