HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-032RESZ3LUTION AUTHORIZING THE BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND PARTICIPATE IN A PILOT PROJECT FOR INTENSIVE WRAPAROUND SERVICES, SENATE BILL 163 WHEREAS, the Butte County Department of Social Welfare is authorized to participate in a pilot project with the State Department of Social Services to be responsible as the lead agency in making sure that Butte County youth and their families, who are eligible, receive intensive wraparound services in an effort to keep children in their homes and assist families in staying together; and WHEREAS, the Butte County Department of Social Welfare has approval to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the California Department of Social Services. The term of the Agreement shall be from January 1, 2001 through October 1, 2003; and WHEREAS, the Department of Social Welfare will contract these services out to Youth For Change, a non-profit organization who will be responsible for providing for or arranging for services to youth and their families in Butte County; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED as follows: That the Butte County Board of Supervisors authorizes the Department of Social Welfare to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the California Department of Social Services and to participate in the pilot project.
