THF. BUTTF. COUNTY PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Butte County Personnel Department has over the last decade expanded
the scope of services it provides to the County; and
WHEREAS, the department provides a range of services that encompasses recruitment,
classification, training, benefits, policy interpretation, EEO compliance, affirmative action,
dispute resolution, grievance handling, and other personnel issues, and will continue to evolve,
by diversifying and integrating more services in the firture; and
WHEREAS, the growing trend of the industry has moved toward naming their personnel
departments with better descriptive names such as Human Resources Department or Personnel
Management Division.
NOW, THERF,FORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of
Supervisors recognizes that a broad range of services are provided by the Department by
changing the name of the department to THE BUTTE COUNTY DEPAF~TMENT OF HUMAN
RESOURCES.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 12tf' day of
June 2001, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan., rioux, Yamaguchi and Ghair Josassen
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
