RESOL UTION APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH
STATE BOARD OF CORRECTIONS REGARDING
BUTTE COUNTYJUVENILE HALL
(STATE CONTRACT NO. 01~-91)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors as follows:
1. It approves Contract No. 012-99, a Construction Grant Program agreement with
the State Board of Corrections related to construction of a new juvenile hall in the
amount of $8,040,000, requiring matching funds in the amount of X2,010,000,
authorizes the Chair of the Board of Supervisors to sign said Contract No. 012-99.
2. The following employees/officials are designated to perform certain tasks:
a. County Construction Administrator -Mike Pyeatt, General Services
Director.
b. Project Financial Officer- David A. Houser, Auditor-Controller.
c. County Contact Person -Steve Ellen, Assistant Chief Probation Officer.
3. Assures that Butte County will adhere to State and/or Federal requirements and
terms of the grant contract.
4. Assures that grant funds and cash match do not replace (supplant) funds otherwise
dedicated or appropriated for the same construction activities.
5. Assures that Butte County has reviewed, approved, and is committed to the need
for additional staff and operating costs should they result from the project.
G. Approves the facility staffing plan and agrees to fully and safely staff and operate
the facility subject to construction in the grant project within 90 days of project
completion (consistent with Title l5, CCR}.
