A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE
APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO STATE CDBG GRANT #98-EDBG-619
WHEREAS, the County of Butte and the City of Gridley have been jointly awarded Grant #98-
EDBG-619 by the State of California, Community Development Block Grant program to create
jobs within the County by assisting Rio Pluma, LLC with disposal of waste water from its prune
processing operation; and
WHEREAS, the current grant budget provides $92,500 for Business Assistance Infrastructure to
upgrade that part of the City's sewer collection system that receives waste water from the Rio
Pluma prune processing plant; and
WHEREAS, the necessary improvements have been made to the sewer collection system using
$27,482.40 from this grant as well as funds from other funding sources; and
WHEREAS, the waste water pretreatment facility installed on Rio Pluma, LLC premises has
proved to be only partly effective, and the company needs funding for additional equipment; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte wishes to use the grant funds remaining for Business
Assistance Infrastructure to further assist Rio Pluma, LLC with its wastewater pretreatment
needs.
NOW, THEREFORF,, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte as
follows:
'The Board of Supervisors hereby approves an amendment to State CDBG Grant #98-EDBG-619,
to amend the budget of this grant as follows.
$65,01.60 will be moved from the Business Assistance Infrastructure activity to the
Business Assistance Loans activity creating the new budget as follows:
$ 45,000.00 -General Administration
$525,517.60 -Business Assistance Loans
$ 27,482.40 -Business Assistance Infrastructure
