RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE TERMS AND CONDI"TIONS OF A LOCAL LAW
ENFORCF.IVIENT BLOCK GRANT
WHEREAS, the Probation Department and Sheriff s Office have jointly applied for and have
beer, awarded a block grant in the total amount of X73,437 from the Bureau of Justice
Assistance, U.S. Department of Justice, and
WHEREAS, the two departments have jointly decided to split the award equally, and
WHEREAS, a $7,300 cash match is required that ~~ill also be split equally, the Probation
Department covering their portion from salary savings, and the Sheriff's Office from impact
fees, and
WHEREAS, the grant requires that the finds be spent in accordance with their approved
purpose areas, and
WHEREAS, both the Probation Department and the Sherif~E`s Office have agreed to spend the
funds in accordance with the terms and conditions ol~ the grant.
NOW, THEREFORE BI: IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
accept the terms and conditions of the block grant and accept $73,437 in unanticipated
revenue.

September _ 2001 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Yamaguchi and Chair Josiassen
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
