A RESOLUT[ON AMENDING AND TRANSFERRING THE ESTABLISHED
REVOLVING FUND FROM THE OFFICE OF THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY TO THE
OFFICE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILD SUPPORT SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors on February 2~, 1976. pursuant to Sections
29320, et seq, of the Government Code of the State of California_ adopted a resolution
establishing a revolving fund for the District Attorney's Office to be Lised for the prepayment of
filing fees for certain civil actions and for advancing the costs involved in levies on Writs of
F,xecution; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors on July 13`x', 1993, pursuant to Sections 29320, et
seq, of the Government Code of the State of California, amended said resolution increasing the
amount to $5,000.00, and
WHEREAS, there is now determined to be a necessity to transfer the entire revolving
fund to the newly formed County Iepartment of Child Support Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I'T RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. That the resolution adopted by the Board of $upervisors on February 24, 1976,
and amended on ,iuly 13`f', 1993, be amended to read as follows:
"BE f"l' IZfSOI_VED. that a revolving fund of $5,000.00 be established in
the Office of the Department of Child Support Services, to be used in
prepayment of required filing fees where such fees are recoverable at the
successful completion of civil actions and for use in advancing costs
demanded by the various sheriffs and marshals throughout California
where such costs are recoverable in the process of levy on a Writ of`
Execution or other civil process.'"
2. That the County Administrative Officer is instructed pursuant to Section 29323 of
the Government Code of the State of California to amend by endorsement the blanket fidelity
band of the County to be conditioned, in addition to its other provisions. upon the faithful
administration of the revolving fund and upon the willingness and ability of the principal for
whom such fund has been established to account for and pay over the fund upon demand of the
Board of Supervisors at any time,
3. "I-hat the Office of~ t}1e District Attorney is hereby authorised and directed to
release any and all authority and ownership over this account to the Office o(~ the Department of
Child Support Services.
