lil'ON RETIREMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PliI3LIC ~~'ORKS
WHEREAS, Cecil Foote. Supervising Road Maintenance Vv'orker for the Department of Public
Works, announced his retirement as of December 29, 2001; and
WHEREAS, Cecil Foote began his career ~~~ith the County of Butte in 1958, as a Bridge
Construction Worker, in the Department of Public il'orks. advancing within the Uepartment_ to become a
Supcr~~ising Road LMalnlellanCe A~'orker. his present position: and
VYHF,REAS, Cecil 1=Mote ~~orked as a Brid~~c C'~~nstruction W~>rher, f:quiE~ment Operator. Road
Maintenance Wacker, Temporary Supervisor of CCu fA y'1 \~%ork C're~~s_ and Supervisin~~ Koad
Maintenance Vdorker in the Public Works Department for mane years; and
WHEREAS, Cecil Foote has earned the respect of fellow employees. engineers, surveyors.
contractors, and others involved in Public Works activities in Butte County. and has dili~aentl~~ served the
residents of the Count} of Butte for forth-three (43) years with extraordinary dislinction and leadership:
NObV, TNEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. that this Board, on its o.+~n behalf and on behalf of
the residents of the Count~~ i~f Butte- wish to express to Cecil Foote sincere appreciation for his man}~
years of unseltish dedication and outstandin~~ service rendered to the residents of the Counh~ of Butte, and
further wish him ~~'ell on his retirement.
