RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF TONY ~~4'. MATTOS
UPON RETIREMENT FROM TFIE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC' WORKS
WHEREAS. ~fon~~ W. Mattos, Lead Fabricator Welder Mechanic for the Department ah Public
\~%orks, annauneed his retirement as of December 29. ?001; and
WHEREAS, ~fon~~ ~~'. Mattos began his career with the County of Butte in 197 ~. as an
Equipment Mechanic. in the Department of`Public ~~,'~~rks. advancing within the Department. to become a
Lead Fabricator U~'elder Mechanic. his present position: and
W~-IEREAS. "Tony ~~t. Mattos worked as an F?quipment Mechanic, ~Uelder 1~~'[echanie. and Lead
Fabricator Welder Mechanic in the Public ~~'orks Department for many years: and
WHEREAS. Tony W. Mattos has earned the respect of fellow employees. ~n~,inecrs. m~ve~~ors_
contractors. and others involved in Public Worhs activities in Butte County. and has dili~~enil~ ~er~ ed the
residents of the County of Butte for twenty-eight (28} ~~kars with estraordinarv distinction and leadership:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board on its own behalf and ~>n behalf of
the residents of the Count}~ of~ Butte, ~~~~ish to express to ~hzmv W'. Mattos sincere appreciation for his many
years of unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of Butte. and
further wish him well on his retirement.
