COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND SOCIAL SERVICES FOR PUBLIC ASSISTANCE RECIPIENTS
WHEREAS, the County of Butte is committed to the implementation of a Direct Deposit program for public
assistance recipients; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Department of Employment and Social Services will be in charge of the
implementation of a Direct Deposit program for public assistance recipients; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Auditor -Controller has reviewed and is in support of implementing a Direct
Deposit program; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Treasurer has reviewed and is in support of implementing a Direct Deposit
program; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Treasurer has an agreement with at least one Automated Clearing House
financial institution participating in the program.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED as follows:
That the Butte County Board of Supervisors has granted approval to proceed with the implementation of
the Direct Deposit program.
The Butte County Board of Supervisors authorizes the Department of Employment and Social Services to
administer the implementation of the Direct Deposit program.
The Butte County Board of Supervisors directs County staff to give full assistance to the Department of
Employment and Social Services in the implementation of the Direct Deposit program.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of December 2001, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Yamaguchi and Chair Josiassen
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
