Resolufian N0. 02-010
RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF JUDITH DELGADO
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THF. BUTTF, COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH.
WHEREAS, Judith Delgado atu~ounced her retirement as of December 28, 2041; and
WHEREAS, Judith Delgada graduated from California State University, Chico, where she
received her bachelor's degree in Nursing in 1964. She became a Public Health Nurse for the Butte
County Department of Pl~blic Health in 1965, aSupervisor-Public Health Nurse in 1970, and the Director
of Public Health Nursing in 1989; and
WHEREAS, Judith Delgado has supported her community through active participation on
numerous task forces and coalitions: and
WHEREAS, Judith Delgado has diligently served the people of Butte County as the Director of
Public Health Nursing for thirteen years. dedicated to the provision of preventive health services and
education to all individuals; and
WHEREAS, Judith Delgado's tenure as the President of the California Conference of Local
1-lealth Department Nursing Directors served to strengthen the services offered to individuals throughout
the State of California; and
WHEREAS> Judith Delgado has consistently been an example of enthusiasm and leadership to
her staff, the Department, and the community: and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of
the residents of Butte County, would like to express its appreciation for the dedication and devotion given
by Judith Delgado during her thirty-six years of service to the people of the County of Butte.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 29th day of
January 2002 by the following vote:
