RESOLITTION IN RECOGNITION OF DONNA MURRILL
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE
BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH
WHEREAS, Donna Murrill announced her retirement as of December 28, 2001; and
WHEREAS, Donna Murrill graduated from the University of Calif-ornia at Davis in 1963.
She became a Public Health Microbiologist for the Butte County Department of Public He~~ilth in
1967 and the Director of the Public Health Laboratory in 1982; and
WHEREAS, Donna Murrill has actively participated in the California Conference of Local
Laboratory Directors for the past 19 years, and
WHEREAS, Donna Murrill has served as an invaluable resource for the Department and the
community in the area of infectious disease. 1-ter experience, knowledge and ability to communicate
have strengthened the delivery of public health services in Butte County; and
WHEREAS, Donna Murrill has been an energetic, dedicated and well respected public
health professional.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board, on its own behalf and on behalf
of the residents of Butte County, would like to express its appreciation for the dedication and
devotion given by Donna Murrill during her 34 years of service to the people of the County of Butte.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Superviso--s this 29`x' day of
January 2002 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Yamaguchi and Chair Josiassen
