RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF
KNVN
WHEREAS, Butte Cot~~nty receives over 5,000 allegations of child abuse and neglect
annually and over six hundred children are in nut of home placement in Butte County in any one
month_ and
WHEREAS, the Frank Vt'atters Children's Trust Fund, a fund made up entirely of
donations from the community, allows Butte County citizens to make tax deductible donations to
help prevent child abuse and neglect when they pa}~ their property taxes; and
WHEREAS, KNVN, through their continued commitment to provide media coverage, has
increased the awareness of the community regarding the importance of contributions to the Frank
~'atters Children's TrustFund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors,
on its own behalf and on behalf of the residents of Butte County, wishes to send heartfelt thanks
and appreciation to KNVN for their continuing support of Butte County s efforts to prevent child
abuse and neglect.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 29"' day of
January 200? by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Yamaguchi. and Chair Josiassen
