RESOLU'T'ION TO EXTEND CSAC EXCESS INSURANCE AUTHORITY
INSURANCE PROGRAMS TO THF.
BUTTE COUNTY LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION
WHEREAS. the County obtains various forms of insurance caveragc from CSAC F,xcess
Insurance Authority {CSAC-EI.A); and
WHEREAS. the Local .Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) does not automatically
qualify for said coverage and it is necessary to make application to, and request approval from, the
CSAC-ETA for the coverage; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte wants, for insurance purposes, to consider i_AFCa aid its
activities in a manner equal to other County activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
approves the addition of the Local Agency hormation Commission and its activities to the County's
Primary and Excess Workers' Compensation. Property. Primary and Excess Liability, and
BondlCrime Program: and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County does accept responsibility for any
applicable self-insured retention obligation: and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this commitment is retroactive to July l , 2001.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 12th day of
February 2002 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors I>eeler, Dolan, Honx, ~'am<~giichi and Chair Josiassen
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: [done
