A RF.SOLt1TION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN
THE NORTH STATE COOPERATIVE LIBRARY SYSTEM
WHEREAS, a cooperative library system has been organized cowering the counties of Butte,
Humboldt, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama and Trinity, together with the cities of Orland
and Willows; and the Library Districts of Del Norte County and Susanville; and
WHEREAS, this governing body by Resolution has already authorized the participation of
its library in the System under the California Library Services Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of 5upezti~isors that
the Librarian of its library be and is hereby authorized and directed to participate in the reorganized
North State Cooperative Library System, organized pursuant to the Library of California Act. 'The
revised Plan of Service of said System is hereby incorporated by reference.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 26`'' day of
February 2002 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Roux, Yamaguchi and Chair Josi~ s:;er
NOES: None
ABSENT: None.
