RESOLUTION ~N RECOGNITION OF T~ICKIE STEMPEL
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE COUNTY CLERK-RECORDER'S OFFfCE
COUNTY OF BUTTE
WHEREAS, Vickie Stempel, Deputy County Clerk-Recorder III, announced her
retirement as o fApril 16, 2OO2; and
WHEREAS, G'ickic~ Stempel began her career with the County of Butte on t)ctoher
16, 19?2 working extra help for the Elections Division "stuffing .Sample bullots•" and
continued working various• extra help positions for the Elections Division and Animal
Control, and
WHEREAS, on March 1, 198, Vickie Stempel accepted a fulltime regular help
position of Typist Clerk 1 with the County Recorder's Office, was promoted to Typist Clerk
II on A~Iarch 29, 198(1; was promoted to Typist Clerk III on May 6, 1981; was reclassified
to Recordable Document Examiner 11 on April lf~, 1988; and was further reclassified to
Deputy County Clerk-Rc~cnrder III on June 12, 1999, a position she has held for the past
three _years; and
WHEREAS, Vickie Stempel has been instrumental in training other staff members
during two major automation projects and has assisted in yuurtc~rly training seminars for
outside agencies. In her role as a Deputy County Clerk-Recorder III, she has maintained a
positive attitzrdc at all times and has been a major source of strength and a stabilizing
influence who has been relied upon by all staff nzembers,~ and
WHEREAS, Vickie Stempel 's helpfulness, consideration, skill, patience, and
understanding have ec~xrned her many compliments and commendations ,from members of
the public. I~cr actions throughout the years have exemplified the spirit of public service
that serves us~ all so ~vell.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESO~,VED that the Board of Supervisors wishes
to express to Vickie Stempel sinccrc~ appreciation for her many years of dedication cmd
service to Butte County, and. further, wishes her well on her retirement.
