BC7ARD OF SUPERVISORS COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA ~E~solution N©. o2-oa3 RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF ADULT EDUCATION IN OROVILLE AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, the Oroville Adult School has been providing continuing academic and vocational education to the citizens of Oroville and Butte County since 1925; and WHEREAS, the school offers academic and vocational education either for free or for a reasonable cost; and WHEREAS, the citizens of Oroville, Butte County, and the State of California benefit greatly from this form of education; and WHEREAS, funding for adult education is being threatened by proposed budget cuts in the State of California. NOW, THEREFORE, BE [T RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors strongly supports continued funding of all Adult Education programs in the State of California.
