HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-047• r~.Q'+ •`+~ ~ Q4; ~ nVs~ * ~ ~ ; *~ ~~ ~1~~ ~+QUP ~~~~1 'rrrrrrrrsr BOARD OF SUPERVISORS COUNTY OF BU1'i'E, STATE OF CALIFORNIA Resolution No. 02--a~~ RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ALLOCATION (PASS THROUGH) OF BUTTE COUNTY'S PER CAPITA GRANT FiJNDS UNDER PROPOSITION 12 WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the Per Capita Grant Program which provides funds to meet the urgent need for safe, open and accessible local park and recreational facilities for increased recreational opportunities that provide positive alternatives to social problems; and WHEREAS, the California Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the grant program. setting up necessary procedures; and WHEREAS, on January 8, 2002, the Board of Supervisors approved Resolution Number 02-003 certifying the Board of Supervisors' approval for Butte County to apply for the Per Capita Allocation; and WHEREAS, by minute order 02-003 on January 8, 2002, the Board of Supervisors approved the allocation of Butte County's portion of the Per Capita Grant Funds as reflected in Exhibit A (attached); and WHEREAS, Butte County received a copy if its fully executed contract with the State of California on March 14, 2002 (Contract Number 0200 374) totaling $752,000; and WHEREAS, the California Department of~ Parks and Recreation has advised that the Butte County Board of Supervisors needs to certify its actions of January 8, 2002, by adopting a resolution approving the allocation (pass through) of Butte County"s Per Capita Grant Funds under Proposition 12; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors' approval of this resolution will initiate a process allowing cities and park and recreation districts to submit their project applications directly to the State Department of ['arks and Recreation; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors does hereby: Approve the allocation of Butte County's portion of the Per Capita Grant Funds as reflected. in Exhibit A (attached). ?. Authorize cities and recreation and park districts_ receiving pass through Proposition 12 funds from the County, to submit their project applications directly to the Calif-ornia Department of Parks and Recreation.
