RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FCINDING
FROM THE STATE WATER RESOURCES CONTROL BOARD
CINDER THE COSTA-MACHADO WATER ACT OF 2000 (PROP I3)
WHEREAS, in February 2001 the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to seek
funding of $191, S49 under the Costa-Machado Water Act of 2000 for the Butte County
Integrated Watershed Coordination project; and
WHEREAS, in May 2001 the State Water Resources Control Board voted unanimousl~~
to award funding under the grant application prepared by the Department of Water and
Resource Conservation; and
WHEREAS, the County has received notification that funding in the amount of
$191,549 has been awarded to the County for this project and has worked with the State
Water Resources Control Board to develop the Scope of Work for this project; and
WHEREAS, the Water Resources Control Board requires a Resolution of Acceptance
from the County to initiate the contract development process to receive such funding;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors:
The County accepts funding of $191,549 under the Costa-Machado Water Act of
2000 for the integrated Watershed Coordination project as described in the grant
application submitted to the State Water Resources Control Board in February
2001;
2. Authorize Ed Craddock, Director of the Department of Water and Resource
Conservation to sign the apprapriate documents on behalf of the Caunty.
3. Such funding will be budgeted in the 2002103 and 2003/04 budgets and the
project will not begin prior to July 1, 2002.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte Caunty Board of Supervisors this
7th day of May 2002 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Yamaguc}~i and Chair .Josiassen
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
