RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF NICHOLAS L. LIMI3AUGH
WHEREAS, this Board expresses its appreciation to Nicholas L. Limbaugh for his IS
plus years o{~ dedicated service to the Butte County Sheriffs Office and the citizens of Butte
County; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas L. Limbaugh was hired as a Deputy Sheriff by Sheriff I-Ial T.
Brooks on November 15, 1986; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas L. Limbaugh had previously worked in law enforcement as a
Reserve Deputy Sheriff for Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, a Sergeant for Folsom Police
Department and a Deputy Sheriff for Glenn County Sheriff's Office; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas L. Limbaugh was promoted to Sergeant by Sheriff Leroy Wood
on October 6, 1990, promoted to Lieutenant by Sheriff Charles M. Grey on November ), 1491,
and promoted to Captain by Sheriff Scott A. Mackenzie on September 13, 1999; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas L. Limbaugh holds Basic, Intermediate. Advanced, Supervisory,
and Management Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.} Certificates; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas L. Limbaugh has commanded the Operations Division, supervised
the Services Division, supervised the installation of the Consolidated Courts security system, was
the project managerlcoordinator for the construction and implementation of the new
9I1/Communicatins Center, and has worked and supervised Patrol and Investigations; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas L. Limbaugh has received many Sheriff s Letters of Appreciation.
and thank you letters from citizens and other agencies; and
WHEREAS, Nicholas L. Limbaugh has served under Sheriff Ha] T. Brooks. Sheriff
Leroy Wood, Sheriff Charles M. Grey, and Sheriff Scott A. Mackenzie.
NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors, on its own
behalf and on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte, expresses its deep appreciation for
the more than 15 years of selfless dedication and devotion given by Nicholas L. Limbaugh
during his law enforcement career with the Butte County Sheriff's Office
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 21~` day of
May ?002 by the following vote:
