RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DISTRICT ATTORNEY
TO SLBMIT AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE FRAUD GRANT APPLICATION
WI IEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors desires to undertake a certain
program designated as the Automobile Insurance Fraud Program as authorized under California
h~surance Code Section 1872.8, California Code of Regulations Subchapter 9, Article 4, Section
2698.65 administered by the California Department of Insurance.
NO~V, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the District Attorney of the Butte County
District Attorney's Office is authori-r,ed, on its behalf to submit the attached proposal to the
California Department of h~surance and is authorized to execute on behalf of the Board of
Supervisors the Grant Award Agreement upon award including any extensions or amendments
thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to
supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of the resolution adopted by the Butte
County Board of Supervisors in a meeting thereof held on the 21st day of May, 2002, by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Yamaguchi and Chair Josiassen
NOES: None
NOT VOTING: None
ABSENT: None
