HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-115~,. o~ ~svp~••., • ~ + i~~ ~j rQ'r'r' 9OM //~~ i -+~ V i ~' "'fix ~ ~ ~ as : .~~ ~ : m; '~: ~*i • `~ •i ;~7y • BOARD OF BUPERVISQRS COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RE~solufion No. oz-its RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF OFFICER RODNEY LUNDBERG UPON HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL WHEREAS, Rodney was born in Chico, California on October 18, 1947; and WHEREAS, he was raised. in Richvale, and graduated from Biggs High School in June of 1965; and WHEREAS, Rodney then served our country in the United States Arnzy for two years, where he attained the rank of Sgt. E-5 and served a tour of duty in Vietnam; and WHEREAS, upon leaving the Army, he attended Yuba and Butte Colleges, where he earned an AS degree in Administration of Justice in 1971; and WHEREAS, on January 31, 1972, Rodney entered the CHP Academy in Sacramento as a Cadet. He graduated from the Academy on May 25, 1972, and was assigned to the West Los Angeles Area Office. In April of 1973 Officer Lundberg transferred to the Santa Cruz Area Office, and in March of 1983 he returned to work in the Chico Area Office; and WHEREAS, Officer Lundberg was a certified weapons instructor for all departmental weapons; and WHEREAS, Officer Lundberg retired from the California Highway Patrol in December of 2001; and WHEREAS, it is an honor to have citizens from our county serve our country, and return to support and contribute to our community. NOW, THEREFORE, BF, IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors, on its own behalf, and on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte, would like to express its deep appreciation to Officer Rodney Lundberg for his support and contribution to this county, and further wish him well on his retirement.
