"~ ~~^ ^ ^ ~. ~y~ ~~~~~~~+ `~i~ ~~~1 • ~t111111 rIr111• BOARD OF SUPERVISORS CC7UNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA Reso~ufion No. ~z-lz3 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDING UNDER THE LOCAL GROUNDWATER MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE ACT AB 303, STATUTES OF 2000 WHEREAS, the Local Groundwater Management Assistance Act of 2000 has established the Local Groundwater Assistance Fund, and has offered funding to assist local agencies in groundwater management projects; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has authorized the Butte County Department of Water and Resource Conservation to apply for such grant funding to install two dedicated monitoring wells equipped with extensometers; and WHEREAS, such grant application has been chosen for funding under Local Groundwater Management Assistance Act of 2000; and WHEREAS, such wells would provide information that would be valuable in the management of the water resources within the County and for the implementation of~the Groundwater Conservation Ordinance; and WHEREAS, a resolution accepting such funding is required by the administer of the funding, the California Department of Water Resources; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that fed ~.:'~~~~ddock, Diretilor of the Department of Water and Resource Conservation, be r,~=,ti~;~riz~-d to execute all necessary documents to accept grant funding totaling $249,000 from the California Department of Water Resources for two dedicated monitoring wells equipped with extensometers under the Local Groundwater Management Assistance Act of 2000.
