RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A
LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT
WHEREAS, the Probation Department and the District Attorney's Office have applied
for and have been awarded a block grant in the total amount of $64,910 from the U.S.
Department of Justice -Bureau of Justice Assistance; and
WHEREAS, the two departments have jointly decided to split the award - 543,273 to the
Probation Department, and $21,637 to the District Attorney's Office; and
WHEREAS, a $7,212 cash match is required that will be split in the same proportion -
$4,808 being provided by the Probation Department, and $2,404 by the District Attorney's
Office, both coming out of each Departments approved expenditure budget; and
and
WHEREAS, the grant requires that the funds be spent within approved purpose areas;
WHEREAS, the Probation Department and the District Attorney's Office have agreed to
spend the funds in accordance with the terms and conditions of the grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte Colmty Board of Supervisors
accepts the terms and conditions of the block grant and accept $64,910 in unanticipated revenue.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 23"i day of
July 2002 by the following vote:
