RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF THE
GRF,ATF.R OROVILLE HOMELESS COALITION
WHEREAS, the mission of the Greater Oroville Homeless Coalition is to help people
who are homeless or at risk of homelessness acquire and preserve safe shelter, self-sufficiency,
and security; and
WHEREAS, the Coalition sponsored the H.O.P.E. {Helping Other People Expandj
Conference on September 21, 2002.
WHEREAS, at the Conference the community was infornled about the growing
incidence of homelessness among all ages, recognition was given to those who have served the
homeless over the years, and work began to develop a comprehensive plan to prevent
homelessness and. to further serve people facing the challenges of homelessness; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVF,D that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
recognizes and supports the efforts of the Greater Oroville Homeless Coalition in meeting the
needs of the homeless.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 24`i' day of
September 2002, by the following vote:
