COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
Resolution No. oz-i 7h
RESOLUTION APPROVING ADOPTION OF CANINE
TO BE UTILIZF,D AS A CANINE OFFICER
WHEREAS, Butte County adopts and recognizes two German Shepard dogs named
"Brit" and named "Zeus". Said dogs shall be used by the Butte County Sheriff's Office as
members of the canine unit; and
WHEREAS, Deputy Josh Jackson and Deputy Todd Boodle will be Brit and Zeus'
respective handlers and partners upon acceptance. The CoLmty will provide all food and medical
care for Brit and Zeus; and
WHEREAS, Brit and Zeus shall reside with Deputy Jackson and Deputy Boothe
respectively. The dogs shall be deputized upon acceptance by the Board of Supervisors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BF. IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisor's, or, it's own
behalf, and on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte, that said Board would adopt Brit
and Zeus as canine officers for the Butte County Sheriff s Jffice.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors on the 8"' day of
October 2002 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Roux, Yamaguchi and Chair Josiassen
NOES: none
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: ro~,E.
