RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD TO SUPERVISORS OF THE
COUNTY OF BUTTE DESIGNATING THE AUTHORIZED
REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE OPEN SPACE SUBVENTION ACT
WHEREAS, the Open Space Subvention Act was established to provide replacement
revenues to local government by reason of the reduction of property tax on Williamson Act lands
assessed under Sections 423, 423.3, 423.4, and 423.5 of the Revenue and Taxation Code; and
WHEREAS, the Secretary of the Resources Agency shall direct the Controller to pay
annually each eligible county specific amounts for each acre of land within its regulatory
jurisdiction that is assessed pursuant to Section 423, 423.3, 423.4, and 423.5 of the Revenue and
Taxation Code; and
WHEREAS, on or before October 31 each year, the authorized representative for each
eligible county shall report to the Department of Land Conservation the number of acres of
prime and non-prime land under its regulatory jurisdiction which qualify for state payments,
together with supporting documentation.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
the designation of Fred Holland, Butte County Assessors Office, as Authorized Representative
for Butte County, for the purpose of submitting request for payment from the State of California
under the Open Space Subvention Act.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 12`h day of
November 2002 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, i)olan, Noux, Yamazuch and Chair Josiassen
NOES: None
