LANGEL WHF,REAS, this Board expresses its appreciation to Sgt. Charles E. Lange] for 29 years of dedicated service to the Butte County Sheriff's Office and the citizens of Butte County; and WHEREAS, Sgt. Charles E. Langel was hired as a Deputy Sheriff by Sheriff Larry Gillick on November 23, 1973; anal WHEREAS, Sgt. Charles E. Langel has worked in Patrol, Corrections, Narcotics, Courts, and is a long standing member of the Sheriff's Honor Guard; and WHEREAS, Sgt. Charles E. Lange]. was promoted to Sheriff's Sergeant in July 19'79 by Sheriff Larry Gillick and has served as a Patrol Sergeant and Sergeant in charge of Court Security; and WHEREAS, Sgt. Charles E. Langel is very knowledgeable of his work and possesses a strong understanding of laws, rules, regulations, and procedures pertaining to the Courts; and WHEREAS, Sgt. Charles E. Langel has received many letters of thanks and appreciation from other agencies and citizens for his cooperation and responsiveness to the needs of the community, as well as Sheriff's Letters of Appreciation; and WHEREAS, Sgt. Charles E. Langel has served under Sheriff Larry Gilliek, Sheriff Hal T. Brooks, Sheriff Leroy Wood, Sheriff Charles M. Grey, and Sheriff Scott A. Mackenzie; and WHEREAS, Sgt. Charles E. Langel has an excellent ability to interact with the public and County employees and always acts in a professional and polite manner which reflects positively on the Butte County Sheriff's Offiee and the County of Butte. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors, on its own behalf and on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte, expresses its deep appreciation for the many years of selfless dedication and devotion given by Sgt. Charles E. Langel during his career with the Butte County Sheriff's Office.
