RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF DONALD W. BALMANN
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, Donald W. Baumann, Road Maintenance Worker II for the Department of Public
Works, announced his retirement as of January 3, 2003; and
WHEREAS, Donald W. Baumann began his career with the County of Butte in 1971, as a
Laborer, in the Department of Public Works, advancing within the Department, to become a Road
Maintenance Worker II, his present position; and
WHEREAS, Donald W. Baumann worked as a Laborer, Road Maintenance Man, Road
Maintenance Worker I, and Road Maintenance Worker II in the Public Works Department for many
years; and
WHEREAS, Donald W. Baumann has earned the respect of fellow employees, engineers,
surveyors, contractors, and others involved in Public Works activities in Butte County, and has diligently
served the residents of the County of Butte for over thirty-one (31) years with extraordinary distinction
and leadership;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of
the residents of the County of Butte, wish to express to Donald W. Baumann sincere appreciation for his
many years of unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of
Butte, and further wish him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this 14th day of January 2003, by the follot~-ing vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan,Houx, Josiassen, Yamaguchi and Chair Beeler
