RESOLL'~TION IN RECOGNITION OF WILLARD T. BENNETT
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, Willard T. Bennett, Lead Heavy Equipment Mechanic for the Department of Public
Works, announced his retirement as of May 1, 2002; and
WHEREAS, Willard T. Bennett began his career with the County of Butte in 1985, as a Vehicle
Service Worker, in the Department of Public Works, advancing within the Department, to become a Lead
Heavy Equipment Mechanic, his present position; and
WHEREAS, Willard T. Bennett worked as a Vehicle Service Worker, Hea~ry Equipment
Mechanic, and Lead Heavy Equipment Mechanic in the Public Works Department for many years; and
WHEREAS, Willard T. Bennett has earned the respect of fellow employees, engineers,
surveyors, contractors, and others involved in Public Works activities in Butte County, and has diligently
served the residents of the County of Butte for seventeen (17) years with extraordinary distinction and
leadership;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of
the residents of the County of Butte, wish to express to Willard T. Bennett sincere appreciation for his
many years of unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of
Butte, and further wish him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this 14th day of January 2003, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, Josiassen, Yamaguchi and Chair Beeler
NOES: None
