RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF REX R. HLTFFMAN, JR.
UPON RETIREMENT FRONT THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, Rex R. Huffman, Jr., Associate Engineer for the Department of Public Works,
announced his retirement as of January 17, 2003; and
WHEREAS, Rex R. Huffman, Jr. began his career with the County of Butte in 197?, as an Extra
Help Principle Engineering Aide, in the Department of Public Works, advancing within the Department,
to become an Associate Engineer, his present position; and
WHERF,AS. Rex R. Huffman, Jr., worked as a Senior Engineering Aide, Principle Engineering
Aide, Engineering Technician I, Engineering Technician II, Civil Engineering Assistant, and Associate
Engineer in the Department of Public Works for many years; and
WHEREAS, Rex R. Huffman, Jr. has earned the respect of fellow employees, engineers,
surveyors, contractors, and others involved in Public Works activities in Butte County, and has diligently
served the residents of the County of Butte for thirty (30) years with extraordinary distinction and
leadership;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf and on beha]f of
the residents of the County of Butte, wish to express to Rex R. Huffman, Jr. sincere appreciation for his
many years of unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of
Butte, and further wish him well on his retirement,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this 14"' day of January 2003, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, Josiassen, Yamaguchi. and Chair Beeler
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
