COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA '•..•.~;•+t.r,,,,,r.•••' ~~;.•~ Resotutiou No. 03-029 'fir l^i ~~i~ f?Ll~~•,~• RESOLLTION APPROVING THE PROPOSED OVERALL ANNUAL GOAL. OF 12'%~ FOR FEDERAL. FISCAL YEAR 2003, FOR ADOPTION AND S['BMISSION TO THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CALTRANS) WHEREAS, Butte County is required to develop and submit an Overall Annual Goal for DBE participation for DOT-assisted contracts, as a condition of federal financial assistance, pursuant to "1 itle 49 CFR Part 26; Participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Programs; and WHEREAS, in accordance with new DBE regulations, Butte County has developed a narrowly tailored Proposed Overall Annual DBE Goal of 12°lo for Federal Fiscal Year 2003; and WHEREAS, no comments were received on the Proposed Overall Annual DBE Goal of 12"/<~ for Federal Fiscal Year 2003 during the required public participation process accomplished through a noticed thirty (30) day public review and forty-five (45) day public comment period; and ~'VHEREAS, adoption by the Board of Supervisors is required to ensure compliance with Department of "Transportation federal funding requirements, provisions and tnancial responsibilities. NOW, THEREFORE, BF IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that the Proposed Overall Annual Goal for Federal Fiscal Year 2003 is hereby approved. AND BE IT F[1RTBER RESOLVED that the Chair of the Butte County Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized to execute the adoption of the Proposed Overall Annual Goal for Federal Fiscal Year 2003, and, submission to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans}, on behalf of the County, for funding authority approval.
