RESOLUTION IN R>H:COGNITION OF DONNA MARLIN
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE DEPART11~1ENT OF GENERAL SERVICES,
PURCHASING SERVICES DIVISION, COUNTY OF BUTTE
WHEREAS, Donna Harlin, Specialist--PurchasinglEmergency Services, announced her
retirement as of February 28, 2003; and
WHEREAS, Donna Harlin began her career with the County of Butte on December 26,
1976, as a Typist Clerk II working for the Administration Office; and
WHEREAS, on October 17, 1.981, Donna's position was divided 50 percent
Administration and 50 percent Purchasing Services, and on October 22, 1983, Donna's position
of Typist Clerk II was transferred to 100 percent Purchasing Services, and then on January 4,
1992, after a Classification and Compensation Study, Donna's position was reclassified as
Specialist-Purchasing/Emergency Services where she has served Butte County for the past
eleven years; and
WHEREAS, Donna Harlin has been a hard working, conscientious support person for
twenty-six years helping keep General Services and Purchasing/Emergency Services organized.
Donna has scheduled Butte County Motor Pool vehicles and written petty cash and postage
checks to hundreds of County employees; and
WHEREAS, Donna Harlin has been the first person in Purchasing/Emergency Services
to greet Butte County employees, sales representatives, and the general public where she has
always been helpful and professional. Donna has diligently worked in the best interest of Butte
County for many years, earning the respect of her fellow employees and others involved in
Purchasing/Emergency Services activities in Butte County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors wishes to
express to Donna Harlin sincere appreciation for her many years of dedication and service to
Butte County, and further, wishes her well on her retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 25`x' day of
February 2003 by the following vote:
AYES: St.lpervisors Dolan, Houx, Josiassen, Yamaguchi and Chair Beeler
