M,.~';••• *"'~ ~~`Y :~.w,:',Qyr•+ C©UNTIf 4F BUTTE, STATE OF CALI~{~RI~II/R ~~,~'T~•~...,,,,,.~~.~•• ~;.• Resolution No. 03-132 ~~~~G*QV~~ +"~• RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION REQUESTING DISSOLUTION OF COUNTY SERVICE AREAS (CSAs) 83,112,132, 146, 156 & 157 AND THEIR SPHERES OF INFLUENCE WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors has notihed the property owners in each of the following County Service Areas (CSAs) CSA 83 - Lakeridge Village, CSA 112 - Young and Hobart Subdivision, CSA 132 -Turner's 3"~ Subdivision, CSA 146 -Gibson Subdivision, CSA 156 -Canyon Ranch Estates and CSA 157 -Valley Oaks Subdivision, of the County's intent to dissolve said CSAs if they were not deemed necessary; and WHEREAS, a majority of the property owners responding in each of these CSAs requested dissolution of their CSA; and WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be dissolved is inhabited, with more than twelve registered voters, and descriptions of the boundaries and listings of the property owners are set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, any request to dissolve a CSA and its co-terminus Sphere of Influence in accordance with the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, as set forth in Division 3, Title 5 of the California Government Code must be processed through the Butte County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo); and WHEREAS, the reason for the proposed dissolution of County Service Areas (CSAs) CSA 83 - Lakeridge Village, CSA 112 -Young and Hobart Subdivision, CSA 132 -Turner's 3~`~ Subdivision, CSA 146 -Gibson Subdivision, CSA 156 -Canyon Ranch Estates and CSA 1.57 -Valley Oaks Subdivision, which were formed to provide storm drainage maintenance, future street lighting, sewer maintenance and fire protection, is that the corparate powers of said County Service Areas have not been used and there is a reasonable probability that they will not be used in the future. Services or facilities of substantial benefit have not been provided to the residents or landowners of said County Service Areas. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, this Resolution of Application is hereby adopted and approved by the Board of Supervisors, and the Butte County Local Agency Formation Commission is hereby requested to take proceedings for the dissolution of County Service Areas (CSAs) CSA 83 - Lakeridge Village, CSA 112 -Young and Hobart Subdivision, CSA 132 -Turner's 3"~ Subdivision, CSA 146 -Gibson Subdivision, CSA 156 -Canyon Ranch Estates and CSA 157 -Valley Oaks Subdivision, according to the terms and conditions stated above and in the manner provided. by the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985.
