RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF
RONALD J. LORI1Y10R, SR.
WHEREAS, this Board expresses its appreciation to Ronald J. Lorimor, Sr., for his 32 years of
dedicated service to the Butte County Sheriff's Office.
WHEREAS, Ronald J. Lorimor, Sr., began his law enforcement career with the Butte County
Sheriff's Office as a Reserve Deputy in 197 L In November of 1972 he was hired as a full time Deputy
Sheriff. Deputy Lorimor has worked successfully in many different assignments in his career, including
Patrol, Investigations, Civil, Court Security and Incarcerations.
WHEREAS, Deputy Lorimor has been assigned to the Court Security Unit for the past 13 years
where he is the 0[C (Office in Charge) in the absence of the Court Security Sergeant and an FTO (Field
Training Officer} for new deputies assigned to the courts. Due to Deputy Lorimor's experience in the
Court Security Unit and his technical knowledge, Judges, court staff, and other ca-workers have come to
rely on Deputiy Lorimar for infornlation and problem solving.
WHEREAS, serving the citizens ofButte County far 32 years, Ronald J. Lorimor, Sr., is retiring
on September 26, 2003.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors, on its own behalfand
on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte, that said Board expresses its deep appreciation for the
unselfish dedication and devotion given by Deputy Ronald J. Lorimor, Sr., during his career with the
Butte County Sheriff's Office.
PASSF.,D AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors this 23"i day of September 2003 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, Yamaguchi and Vice-Chair Josiassen
NOES: None
ABSENT: Chair Beeler
