RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF
TERRY L. CAT 1'
WHEREAS, Terry L. Cott, Program Manager of the Butte County Department of Child
Suppo7-t Services, announced her retirement as of March 26, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Tei7y L. Cott began her career with Butte County as are account clerk in the
auditor's office on September 1, 1970, transferring to and remaining with the Butte County
Department of Child Support Services, formerly known as the District Attorney-Family Support
Division, effective September 16, 1971; and
WHEREAS, Terry L. Cott has held eleven titles during her tenure including Account
Clerk II, Typist Cterk III, Family Support Investigator, Family Support Specialist, Family
Support Enforcement Officer II & III, Supervisor-Clerical Support Services, Supervising Family
Suppot-t Case Manager, Supervisor-Family Support Services, Administrative Analyst III, and
Program Manager; and
WHEREAS, Terry L. Cott has been a hard working, devoted, and conscientious employee
for 34 yews; and
WHEREAS, Terry L. Cott, as a leader, mentor, and statesman has successfully supervised
andlor overseen the work of countless Butte County employees, sharing life skills and assisting
them to advance to higher levels of classification or performance; and
WHEREAS, Terry L. Cott has diligently and ethically worked in the best interest of Butte
County, earning the respect of her fellow employees and others, including those at the State
level, Inter/Intro state counties, and Federal offices of Child Support Services; and
WHEREAS, Terry L. Catt's lifelong commitment, vision, and leadership has forever
enhanced the lives of thousands of children and families.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors wishes to
express to Terry L. Cott sincere appreciation for her many years of dedication and service to
Butte County, and further, wishes her well on her retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 9`h day of
March 2004 by the following vote:
AYES; Supervisors Dolan, Houx, Josiassen, Yamaguchi. and Chair Beeler
