RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF
CHARLES E. CATT
WHEREAS, Charles E. Catt, Courier/Stock Clerk for the Butte County Department of
Public Works, announced his retirement as of March 5, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Charles E. Catt began his career with Butte County as a laborer assigned to the
Public Works Department on July 10, 1972, and continuing there until the end of his career; and
WHEREAS, Charles E. Catt held five titles during his tenure, including Equipment Parts
Man, Shop and Store Worker, Stock Clerk and Courier/Stock Clerk; and
WHEREAS, Charles E. Catt has been a hard working, devoted, and conscientious employee
for 32 years; and,
WHEREAS, Charles E. Catt has diligently and ethically worked in the best interest of Butte
County, earning the respect of his fellow employees and others; and
WHEREAS, Charles E. Catt's lifelong commitment to his career with the Department of
Public Works has set an example for others.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte wishes to express to Charles E. Catt, its sincere appreciation for his many years of dedication
and service to Butte County, and further wishes him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors, County of Butte, State of
California, this 9th day of March 2004 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, Josiassen, Yamaguchi and Chair Beeler
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: Ndne
