RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE
WESTERN UNITED STAPES SENIOR SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS,
AUGUST 6-11, 2004, WESTSIDE LITTLE LEAGUE FIELDS, CHICO
WHEREAS, Little League California District 47 and the Chico Westside Little League
have announced that they will host the Western United States Senior Softball Championships to
be held August 6-11, 2004, at Westside Little League Fields in Chico; and
WHEREAS, this tournament will bring players from 11 western states to compete for a
chance to go on to the Senior Softball World Series to be held in Delaware immediately
following this tournament; and
WHEREAS, District 47 Senior Softball Champions will compete here in Chico against
teams from all of California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Arizona, Idaho, Montana,
Wyoming, Hawaii, and Alaska.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
recognizes Little League California District 47 and the Chico Westside Little League for hosting
a memorable event for Chico and Butte County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 22°`' day of
June 2004 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, Josiassen, Yamaguchi and Chair Beeler
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
