A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY TO ENTER INTO
AN AMENDED CONTRACT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF PROPOSITION 12
ROBERTI-Z'BERG-HARRIS BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM FUNDS
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the Roberti-Z'Berg-
Harris Block Grant Program which provides funds that meet the urgent need for safe, open, and
accessible local park and recreational facilities for increased recreational opportunities that
provide positive alternatives to social problems; and
WHEREAS, the California Department of Parks and Recreation administers the Roberti-
Z'Ber~ Harris Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the County entered into a contract with the State of California (State
Contract No. C2009341), whereby the County of Butte would receive an allocation of Roberti-
Z'Berg-Harris Block Grant funds of $ 328,770 under the Safe Neighborhood Parks, Clean Water,
Clean Air and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2000; and
WHEREAS, the amended contract would reduce the amount of funds to the County of
Butte from $328,770 to $ 0 to reflect the pass-through of $328,770 to the City of Oroville.
NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT' RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors that said
Board:
1. Approves the AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT, CONTRACT NO. C2009341
Amendment No. 1, which will reduce the contract amount from $328,770 to $0,
reflecting the pass through of $ 328,770 to the City of Oroville.
2. Authorizes the County Administrative Officer to sign the AMENDMENT TO
CONTRACT, Contract No. C C2009341-Amendment No. 1.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 13`" day of
July 2004 by the following votc:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Houx, Josiassen, Yamaguchi and Chair Beeler
